HOUSE RULES

We are so glad you chose to stay with us! Our goal is for you to have a relaxing, enjoyable visit. Please review the guidelines below to help us keep the home comfortable for everyone.

 

By booking this property, you agree to the following:

​Occupancy & Guests​

​

  • The home comfortably sleeps up to six overnight guests (must be listed on your booking)

  • Gatherings larger than the booked party need prior approval

  • We ask that all gatherings remain respectful of the home and neighbors

​Quiet Hours

​

Please keep outdoor noise low during from 10:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. to respect the neighbors.

Parking

​

There is space for up to four cars on the property.

​Pet Policy

​

We love pets and are happy to host them with a little coordination:

​

  • Pets allowed with prior approval + $50 non-refundable fee per pet

  • Pets must be house-trained

  • Please clean up after them promptly

  • Pet bowls and waste bags are available in the kitchen

  • Undisclosed pets will incur a $100 fee

Beach Access

​

Enjoy easy access to Pickering Beach:

​

  • The beach is accessible via the boardwalk on the property or via the nearby public access path

  • Do not walk over the sand dunes or risk being confronted by Pickering Beach Karen

​​Heating & Cooling

​

  • Heating: Electric baseboard heaters are used to heat the house. The central thermostat for the heaters is in the living room near the hot tub. Do not adjust the individual baseboard heaters.

  • Cooling: Air conditioning is controlled by three energy-efficient window units.

Appliances & Electronics

​

  • Please turn off appliances and electronics when not in use

  • Feel free to log into your streaming services on the TVs—just remember to log out before departure

Plumbing

​

  • Please flush toilet paper only

  • Do not flush wipes, sanitary products, or trash in our septic system

​Restricted Areas

​

The lattice enclosed area under the house if off limits.

​Consumables

​

We provide starter supplies (coffee, tea, toilet paper). For longer stays, guests may need to restock.

Fire Safety

​

  • In case of emergency, call 911

  • A fire extinguisher is in the kitchen

  • A first aid kit is located in the bathroom closet

Prohibited Activities

​

  • No illegal activities

  • No smoking in the house

  • No commercial filming or photography without permission

Hot Tub Guidelines

​

  • Use at your own risk

  • Do not use if you are pregnant, under 12 years old or have cardiovascular disease, low blood pressure, or open wounds/infections

  • Shower before use

  • No glass

  • No use of alcohol or drugs

  • Do not add soaps, oils, or other products

  • Time limit is 15 minutes

  • Please turn it off and cover the hot tub after use

  • There is a $100 fee if the hot tub requires deep cleaning/drainage after use

Sauna Guidelines

​

  • The lock code is 1234

  • Use at your own risk

  • Do not use if you are pregnant, under 12 years old or have cardiovascular disease, low blood pressure, or open wounds/infections

  • Shower before use

  • No glass

  • Limit session to 15 minutes

  • Stay hydrated & avoid alcohol or drugs

  • No use of alcohol or drugs

  • Do not add soaps, oils, or other products

  • Time limit is 15 minutes

  • Please turn it off and cover the hot tub after use

  • There is a $100 fee if the hot tub requires deep cleaning/drainage after use

  • Sit on a towel or wear a provided robe

  • No metal or electronics inside

  • Do not pour water on heater elements

  • Keep items away from the heater

  • Turn off, close the door and lock after use

  • There is a $100 fee if the sauna requires deep cleaning after use

  • Check-in: 3:00 PM

  • Check-out: 10:00 AM
     

We appreciate timely check-out so we can prepare for our next guests.
